Taking part in an equine assisted therapy isn’t just about spending time with horses—it’s about taking time for YOU.
It’s a powerful form of self-care that helps you reconnect with yourself, reset your nervous system, and feel recharged to tackle everyday life with fresh energy and focus.
When we interact with horses, we engage in mindfulness activities that ground us in the present moment. Whether it’s grooming, walking alongside them, or simply being in their presence, the ponies help us slow down and focus on our breathing, our thoughts, and our body.
This can all help release stress, calm the mind, and promote a deep sense of peace.
Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that we live in a world that’s constantly on the move?
Today’s non-stop hustle keeps our nervous systems in a constant state of ‘survival mode’ – where we’re stuck in fight-or-flight, never really pausing to catch our breath.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to simply be in the moment? Not just physically still, but mentally calm and present? It’s a skill we've lost over time as we’re conditioned to keep moving. And it doesn’t happen naturally anymore.
That’s where horses come in…
Equine assisted therapy provide a unique opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and the present moment. Horses, with their highly attuned senses, help us regulate our emotions and ground ourselves in a way that many other methods can’t.
Equine assisted therapy sessions are run in small groups of up to six and as individual sessions.
